The Following is a Bit of an insight to the works which have been carried out to restore the Aveling Barford as you see it today, it all started back in Septmber 2019 when a couple of member attended Burton College Motoring department where the Roller was stored, the roller was originally donated to the college as a project for the students to restore, they had started little bit but I understand that it soon came to much for the College to complete.
The Club was contacted to see if we were interested in taking on the project so a visit was organised and a couple of member attended to look around the roller in the garage at the college.
There are a couple of the rollers original works plates which were missing which we would love to get back on the roller some time in it life at NS&CTEC.
The roller has under gone a complete restoration by club members.
Please come along to any of our events and support in any way you possibly can.
